What is the Resuscitation Council?
Responsible for setting a set of standards in relation to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and related activities and procedures. The Resuscitation Council (UK) was founded in 1981 and is a part of the European Resuscitation Council which a part of the overarching International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation.
The worldwide, European and UK councils all aim to set guidelines of best CPR practice, promote research and education, set guidelines and standards and to work with willing partner organisations and develop relations with CPR professionals.
What is the Right Atrium?
The right upper chamber of the heart, the right atrium is supplied with deoxygenated blood and through the tricuspid valve pumps the blood into the right ventricle.
What is the Right Ventricle?
The right lower chamber of the heart, the right ventricle is supplied with deoxygenated blood pumped through from the right atrium. The pulmonary valve then pumps the blood from the right ventricle through to the pulmonary artery.
